continuous improvement engineering

in the summer of 2022 I joined Knoll as a continuous improvement engineering intern.

I led a continuous improvement project for the textile cutting workflow operation in east greenville, pa. my project was focused on textile inventory sequencing/management, and cut pattern digitization. I redesigned the cutting manufacturing space to optimal workflow and created better utilization of operators.

in total my project has an estimated $55,000 yearly labor savings and over 2,000 ft² in space savings.
